Customer Review: Quiet & Cool

My home does not have central air & I didn't want a window a/c unit for environmental reasons, so I decided to get a ceiling fan above the bed. The ceiling upstairs is only 7.5 feet high , so I ordered this low profile Hunter fan. I had been pleased with the two other Hunter fans I have had for many years.

I was not disappointed.

This fan is very plain, but it is small and quiet & perfect for a good night's sleep on a hot summer night.

Customer Review: Perfect for Small Bedrooms

This is the fourth Hunter Low Profile ceiling fan we've purchased for our home. This 42-inch four-blade model is perfect for smaller bedrooms with eight-foot ceilings. The housing fits nicely on the ceiling where the light fixture was, it doesn't hang down too low, and it's very quiet for sleeping. Hunter suppresses the motor sound by using rubber bumpers between the mounting bracket and ceiling, soft rubber grommets for each blade, and of course a quiet motor. We're very satisfied with this product, and our first two are still quiet after three years.

The Holmes window fan was not what I had in mind. I tried to return it only to find Amazon did not take returns on Holmes Fans. My fault, didn't read return policy for Holmes fans. Beware of that.

Holmes would not let me return it to them for a refund. Fortunately, Amazon allowed me to return it to them if I paid the shipping. Then they credited me for the shipping cost also. So, thanks to Amazon, it worked out ok for me in the end.

Fan hooked up easily to outdoor hose. Placed it on the back porch in the middle of a hot and dry San Antonio Summer. Kept everyone nice and cool. When the humidity went up, tended to leave everything damp; but overall a cheap and easy way to cool an open air porch in dry/hot conditions.

TOP AND BOTTOM SCREW YOU NEED TO DRILL THE HEAD OFF IF YOU WANT A GOOD CLEAN,THE REST ARE PHILLIPS HEAD,TO GET THE FACE OFF, BUT THIS FAN HAS OUTLASTED THE BIGER METAL FANS WITCH ONLY LAST ABOUT 1 YR, ITS ALMOST AS BIG AS IT AND HAS JUST AS MUCH POWER.........

I have a 150 yr old house with very small windows in the upstairs and this fan still fits right in and pushes a great deal of air. Unlike other similar fans, the frame part isn't huge, so the only thing that takes up the space is the actual fan grill itself. I love it!

Customer Review: Best fan I've ever bought

Seriously, this is the best fan I've ever purchased - and I've bought a number. I just moved into Senior Housing and while all utilities are included in the rent, the A/C in the bedroom just doesn't cut it during our 100 degree nights.
This Hunter fan is terrific - I had to check twice to be sure I only had it on low because the air circulation is so good. Quieter than the A/C. Highly recommended.

I ordered two Hunter fans and both arrived on time and undamaged. I've only used one 2 or 3 times when we had such an unusual hotspell in CA. So far I'm quite pleased. They are sturdy and well made and not loud. I'm ready whenever CA heats up again.
